As the need for technology, automation and data in the marketing industry continues to increase, so does Simantel’s commitment to providing smart marketing solutions for our clients. With that, we’re excited to announce that our executive technology director, Abby Bell, has been promoted to vice president.

Abby joined Simantel in 2015 as a marketing automation consultant. She quickly demonstrated her expertise and ability to lead and was promoted to marketing automation director in 2016, and then to executive technology director in 2019. She has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, specifically in marketing automation and CRM technology. She has helped push Simantel beyond any specific platform expertise into being truly technology agnostic.

“As Simantel’s business has evolved rapidly into orchestrating the customer journey for our clients, Abby’s background in automation, technology and data has helped take our clients to new places,” said Misty Klobucher, principal and owner at Simantel. “By combining her technical expertise with her ability to confidently and quickly set direction, Abby has proven to be a clear choice for Simantel’s next vice president. We see this role as vital to leading the front lines of our work and bringing together clients and partners as we all navigate the evolution of the changing agency business model.”

While Simantel is headquartered in Illinois, Abby resides in Texas with her husband and two daughters. In fact, she created and helped integrate a unique remote team at Simantel all over the country. By stepping up and leading the charge for remote worker advocacy over the last few years, she helped the agency better understand and meet the needs of our employees who work from home full-time. Due in part to this, Simantel was able to seamlessly switch to an all-remote working staff in light of COVID-19 social distancing. Abby has endless drive and determination when it comes to advancing our company’s technology goals, but it’s also clear that she has Simantel’s best interest at heart.

“Many have laid an incredible foundation for me at Simantel and I am excited to be growing with a company that is as committed to the technology field as I am,” said Abby. “What’s so amazing for me to see in marketing today is how far the industry has come in marrying together strategy and creativity. Technology is only an enabler here, not the final answer,” she added.

You can hear more from Abby on our blog where she is a regular contributor and thought leader. Abby has helped move our industry forward in many ways, including presenting Simantel webinars and speaking at industry events like Dreamforce. In fact, DMN, a news outlet for data, strategy and technology insight recently inducted Abby as a 2019 Women to Watch. Every year, DMN identifies the best and brightest female talent in the marketing industry through the Marketing Hall of Femme honors. After 150 talented women were nominated for the Women to Watch category, Abby was one of 14 to be selected. To us, though, Abby is one in a million.
