This month, Simantel joined Caterpillar at the world’s leading trade fair for construction and mining in Munich, Germany.Virtual Reality

If there was ever a hardest-working brands tradeshow it would have to be Bauma. The massive event included 3,423 exhibitors from 58 countries and 580,000 visitors from 200 countries. The Caterpillar exhibit featured 60 machines and the latest in machine and jobsite technologies spread out over 26,000 square feet.

We attended Bauma to stay current on how dealers and customers engage with the brand, study the logistics of this global convention and research what industry competitors are doing in the space“It was impressive to see just how big Caterpillar’s global footprint really is,” said Erin Kennedy, Senior Account Manager (pictured right).

We even got in on the action ourselves and played around with one of our favorite emerging trends: virtual reality. (Because sometimes you need a break from “real reality”)

The learning didn’t stop there. Our team also met up with our Advertising and Marketing Independent Network (AMIN) Worldwide partners to swap insight and case studies. We spent time discussing recent work and global best practices. As always, we were deeply impressed with the talent and hospitality of our colleagues overseas.“Anytime we get the chance to be surrounded by the best and brightest in our industry—whether that’s equipment or marketing—we take advantage to learn as much as possible,” said Tim Leesman, VP Director of Client Services at Simantel. “The education and insights gained from Bauma and our AMIN partners, help us serve global clients in an impactful way.”

Bauma 2016 proved to be an invaluable experience for Simantelites. We love to share ideas with our AMIN friends and are proud to go the distance for our clients, especially Caterpillar.

Until next time, Bauma. See you in 2019.
